Industrial bathroom interior with tile

Concrete-look, charcoal, raw

Industrial bathroom tiles

Industrial bathrooms are built on concrete-look porcelain — charcoal, mid-grey, or warm cement in matte rectified large format. Run the same tile floor and walls so the room reads like a single poured-concrete object. Pair with matte-black or gunmetal tapware, a black-framed shower screen, and exposed copper or brass pipework. The brief is raw and architectural — no decorative inserts, no contrast borders. Texture and confidence do all the work.

Industrial bathroom — questions

Concrete-look porcelain or real polished concrete?
Porcelain wins on every front — no curing time, no sealing, no cracks from movement, and far better slip rating in wet areas. Modern concrete-look porcelain has the colour variation and surface depth of real screed without the install risk.
Will an all-grey bathroom feel cold?
Pick a warm-grey or warm-cement tone (not blue-grey), spec underfloor heating, and add warmth with timber joinery, leather, or aged-brass accents. Industrial-warm reads contemporary; industrial-cold reads unfinished.
What grout colour with concrete-look porcelain?
Match grout exactly to the tile colour — the whole point is to read as one continuous concrete plane. Off-grey or mid-charcoal grout with a charcoal tile in a 2mm joint is the architectural move. White grout breaks the illusion.
